W e had such a fun day onsite with the team, learning even more about the way they work as a business, the equipment they rent and sell to the wedding and corporate events market, as well as the range of different projects and jobs they now supply to – last year alone they worked on over 600 events!
A little background.
Ben McCarthy, Managing Director of Premier UK Events, setup a mobile disco company over 12 years ago. As that evolved, Ben quickly saw the success the company was experiencing and made the decision to expand from just disco equipment to dance floors, lighting and in most recent years more production based equipment. Premier UK Events is now a well connected and established event production company in the corporate and wedding events market with a team of 16 members of staff.

In December 2013, we approached Premier UK Events about joining Current’s Early Adopter Program, working closely with us 9 months prior to launch, testing the system and helping contribute to our product development roadmap to ensure we were ready for our official launch back in September 2014. Over the past 16 months we’ve built a fantastic relationship with Premier UK Events, so they were more than happy to be the first Testimonial Video up on our site, check it out, it’s live today!

During the course of the day, we spent time with the different departments, observing how they all use Current in their individual job roles and as departments. In the morning we were in the Sales & Accounts office, who deal with all enquiries, putting jobs together and getting quotes out of the door. As well as invoicing, allocating payments and making the most out of the Xero Integration.

In the afternoon, Ben showed us around the Warehouse, looking at all the fantastic rental equipment they have in stock, from dance floors, trussing and lights to Plasmas, projectors and even an LED Blossom Tree! Billy and Josh, who work in the warehouse, filled us in on how Current helps speed up their everyday workflow.

Barcode scanning within Current RMS, helps the Warehouse Team get jobs prepped and ready for delivery as efficiently as possible. They can now easily keep track of all stock in the warehouse and equipment out onsite through powerful equipment availability and job planner screens and they also PAT test all equipment, inputting the information into Current so that the rest of the Premier UK Events Team can instantly see what equipment is and isn’t available to go out on jobs.

A fun filled, interesting day with such a friendly team, no wonder this company is ever growing in the Wedding and Corporate Events industry. We would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone at Premier UK Events for helping further extend our knowledge of the Events and Production industry and the way they use Current RMS to help manage all of their rental processes.
