T he two day show was a huge success, offering companies local to Scotland, Ireland and the north of England the chance to catch up on new and exciting products in the industry. With over 800 attendees and 85 exhibitors, the Scottish Exhibition Centre was buzzing with activity during the week, kickstarting the 2018 show period.
We had a great time on Stand D18 showing new faces just what Current can do, with the team providing demos and a run through of the all-inclusive Current RMS package, tailored for the AV and Lighting industry. Stand visitors were shown how to quickly pull together quotes and orders using Current, plus how to keep track of their inventory and services using the Availability screen and Resource Planner - all from the cloud!
Of course, we also made time to chat with lots of our existing customers as well. Blue Parrot Events, R&B Group and Quantum Logic, plus more, dropped by for a catch up and to let us know how they were getting on using Current.
The guys from HCVF Television also stopped by, who shared this awesome picture on social media of their Current water bottle braving the elements on the way to the show!
When the chance arose, we made sure to have a look around the exhibition hall to see the latest in lighting, audio and staging technology. Chauvet were showcasing their Maverick range, including the MK Pyxis and MK2 Profile. At the front of the hall, AC-ET welcomed guests to the show with a dazzling stand of varied products, including the latest technologies from Chroma-Q and Jands. There was also a range of seminars in full swing during the show, including talks from the BBC and d&b audiotechnik, addressing a number of different topics from mental health issues in the industry to informative sessions about frequency response for live sound.
Visitors to our stand also had the chance to catch a sneak peek of one of our newest updates, Choosing Accessories. This update will allow users to view the availability of a product’s accessories straight from the picker, as well as the ability to select which accessories they’d like added to a job, giving users greater flexibility as they put together their jobs. Being one of the most highly-voted for requests on our Customer Wishlist, we’re excited to seamlessly add this update to Current very soon, especially after tons of great feedback from the show!
