Current Companion App
Our companion app is now available for Android and iOS users to allocate, prepare, book out and check-in their gear from their smartphone or tablet.
Rather than relying on a physical barcode or QR code scanner, the app gives users the flexibility of using their own smart device or rugged device to scan products with a live picking list view.
The app is designed to be a companion to Current RMS. You pair the app with an opportunity by scanning a unique QR code that creates a link between the two.
Just like in your full Current RMS system, the companion app changes the colour tag of each product as its status changes from allocation through to check-in, making it super clear what’s been scanned and what hasn’t.
You can also Free Scan onto jobs, just like you can in your main Current RMS system. So, if there are any last minute additions to jobs, you can scan these on at any stage using your iOS or Android device.
To tell the app which opportunity you’d like to start prepping, head to the detail view and click the app button.
Alternatively, you can pair your app with your wider system by using the Mobile Pairing option under your user settings.
