InfoComm 2017
The most successful show yet

Although it rained on us for the majority of the week, the weather didn't dampen our spirits for the most successful InfoComm yet.

Back to the blog

2 017 has been a groundbreaking year with 44,700 attendees throughout the 3 days of the show, arriving from all 50 states and further afar - a 13% increase on last year. Almost 1000 exhibitors demonstrated their new products to the Pro-AV and entertainment industry, with exciting displays on offer from the likes of Sony with their impressive Canvas Crystal LED display, Cisco with their collaboration solutions from the browser to boardroom, and Samsung with their impressive array of LED signage, touch screen displays, and QLED signage.

Talking to Rental Businesses

We met over 150 companies who stopped by our booth, including new faces, customers and sign-ups. Atlanta Sound & Lighting and M5 Productions came by and chatted to us about why using Current to manage their rental processes is so important for their businesses.

What’s Coming Next

We demonstrated our recently-released features, including Online Document Approval allowing clients to accept or decline key rental documents in real time with a handy e-signature capture. Cloning, Copying & Pasting item groups speeding up the process of building a quotation, especially handy if a job has multiple rooms or stages. Serialized Containers enabling users to scan one container to allocate multiple assets inside it, great for microphone kits or bars of PAR lamps. Shortages Alerts helping users be proactive rather than reactive with product and service shortages on orders. Free Scan & Simultaneous Scan both designed to speed up the entire warehouse process for serialized assets and bulk items.

Plus, we gave companies a sneak peek of some of our features that will be released shortly, including Discussion Templates, Updates to the Detail View including locking opportunity groups - enabling users to scan inventory only in that group, and the ability to quick add inventory onto a job, rather than through the picker. These features received great feedback at InfoComm, so we’re extremely excited to deploy them into Current in the coming weeks for all users to enjoy.
