COVID-19:
We’re here and we're standing with you

The next few months are going to be tough for everyone, so we wanted to take this chance to say we’re here for you. Our normal hours of operation still remain, and all of our resources are still available. The team are ready to help - just in a more remote location than usual.

T he Coronavirus: it’s all anyone can talk about at the moment. These are uncertain times for the events, AV, production, and camera rental industries, so we’d like to take this chance to say that we’re here for you.

Here’s an update about how we’re working here at Current RMS, so you know that you can continue to rely on us as normal during this period.


Same Current, different desks.

As we’re sure is the case in your business, the safety of our people is our most important consideration. Following the advice of the WHO and local governments, we decided to close our offices and implement our home working plan.

We have offices across the world and regularly hit the road for tradeshows, so we’re already well-versed in remote working. Rest assured, it’s business as usual - just from different desks.


Fully cloud

As a fully cloud-based solution, you’ll not be surprised to learn that all of our operations are fully cloud, too. All of the information that we need is centralized in the cloud, so we can get our jobs done wherever we are. Here are just a few of the tools that we use:

  • Hubspot
    Much like People & Organizations is your single source of truth for customer data, we use Hubspot to log calls, send emails, and store contact information about our customers.
  • Slack
    Our internal messaging platform, keeping us all connected even when we’re not together. Slack talks to our other tools, so we’re always in the know.
  • 3CX
    Using 3CX, we can pick up customer calls from wherever we are. We knew there was a reason we talked the boss into those expensive headsets!
  • Xero
    For accounting, naturally.

Our subscription billing engine and developer tools are all in the cloud, too.

What this means is that we can provide the same level of service that you’ve come to expect from us, with all of the same information at our fingertips. We’ve checked with our suppliers on their plans during this time and they’ve reassured us that they’re ready to roll during this time, too.

A global player

As some of you may know, we’re part of a larger software group called Kerridge Commercial Systems. We stand on the shoulders of KCS, an established global company with over forty years in the marketplace. Although it seems like we’re in pretty dark times, it’s important to look for some positives that we can take out of experiences like this. And here’s one of them: time. In this industry, spare time is a luxury we often go without and now we’ve got it in abundance.

Remember, Current RMS is accessible, immediate, and reliable. Make the most of this downtime by giving your system some much-needed TLC.

  • Complete a full audit of your gear using Inventory Check to make sure that your availability is perfect.
  • Review your People & Organizations, updating contact information and making old customers inactive.
  • Mark any overdue activities as completed, or schedule some follow-ups for later on in the year.

Trust us

Our server infrastructure is reliable and set up to be failure resilient, so you can depend on us to be here when you need us most. We’re hosted on Amazon’s AWS platform, renowned for being trusted by companies like Xero, Trello, and Netflix.

What’s more, your data is safe. You can rest assured that no matter where you’re working, all your activity is protected by both server authentication and data encryption. We use firewalls and other network access control mechanisms to prevent interference or access from outside intruders, as well as making sure that our servers are physically secure.

As you and your team collaborate more remotely, you might like to take this chance to review your in-house security policies. You can make your Current RMS system even more secure by:

  • Turning on two-factor authentication
  • Enabling single sign-on (SSO) with Google or Microsoft
  • Reviewing roles and admin access
  • Regularly checking the Actions Log and Recent Logins
