S etting up the integration with an external service is incredibly quick and simple, saving you a ton of time in the long run. In this blog, we’ll run through which services you can integrate with your Current system and why you might want to, as well as providing a little bit of information on our Open API - letting you create integrations of your own.
Xero & QuickBooks Online
Do you use Xero or QuickBooks Online to manage the accounting side of your business? Both services are modern, cloud-based accounting solutions, designed to help you manage your finances on the move, and we’re proud to be partnered with them.
For this integration, you’ll need an account with either solution. Simply head to System Setup to enable your integration and choose how information is mapped between the two systems.
Then, when you’ve created an invoice from an opportunity, use the handy ‘Post to Xero’ or ‘Post to Quickbooks’ options. Selecting this sends the invoice or credit note straight across to your Xero or QuickBooks Online account, hassle free! It’s also possible to keep your contacts in both solutions up to date with an import and export, plus any new organizations you create in Current are automatically created in Xero or QuickBooks Online, too.
In the last year, our customers have posted over 210,000 invoices to Xero and QuickBooks Online.
MailChimp
MailChimp is the world’s leading marketing automation platform. Millions of people and companies across the world use MailChimp to keep in touch with their customers and clients.
With our MailChimp integration you’re able to keep your Current and MailChimp accounts in sync. Draw in customer and client data from Current RMS to MailChimp to send out stylish, targeted email marketing communications, like your own company newsletters, to the people you really want to reach.
From within Current, you can create a custom view filtered to the people you want to contact using tags and your own fields in People and Organizations. Then, you can just sync this across to your chosen list within MailChimp and select this list when you make a new campaign. Easy!

Adobe Sign
Receiving a signed rental agreement from a client gives you a clear green light before you move forward with a job. By using the Current RMS and Adobe Sign integration, you’re able to capture a legally binding signature from your customer and store it in Current.
Available for Adobe Sign Enterprise customers, this integration provides an extra element of reassurance that your customer has acknowledged your proposal.
If you’re not an Adobe Sign Enterprise customer, Current RMS also has e-sign functionality built in, where your customers can accept or reject any documentation such as rental agreements or delivery notes you send across to them by email. We’ve got a handy guide on how to get set up with this here.
Worldwide, over 6 billion signature transactions a year are made using Adobe Sign.
Single Sign-On
Our developers added Single Sign-On as a free and seamless update to Current last December, adding another layer of security to each Current RMS system. Current is already based in the cloud and backed by Amazon Web Services’ security, but by enabling Single Sign-On, you can log in to your Current RMS system through your Microsoft or Google account.
Not only does Single Sign-On add an extra security measure, it also makes logging into Current RMS extremely convenient!
If you’re already logged into Google or Microsoft, you’ll be taken straight to the Dashboard instead of keying in your Current RMS credentials every time.
With Single Sign-On, take advantage of security features like Two-Factor Authentication and other advanced password policies.
Open API
Many of our customers have made use of our Open API in their own projects, a brilliant way of integrating Current RMS with various other systems.
Last year CEG Hire & Productions built a store front for their website that integrates with Current, allowing customers visiting their site to view real time inventory levels and product information.
The top priority was to be able to have our hire catalogue running live from our rental inventory - pushing new products, photography, statistics and other sales information without any extra data entry. This was the starting point of the project, we then utilised Current’s extremely sophisticated API to be able to incorporate product availability and custom pricing into the customer facing parts of the site.
