Festival season is here
We're supporting local

It's finally summer (debatable in the UK) and that means one thing - it's festival season and Current’s very own Chris Branson will be involved in running Bingham Festival on Saturday 9th July in Butt Field.

Festival season is here

M any of you will still be scraping the mud (and who knows what else) off your wellies from Glastonbury which kicked off the season a couple of weeks ago. Well scrape no more, as this festival is just around the corner.

Ben Michael Jackson will be at Bingham Festival 2016

Many of you will still be scraping the mud (and who knows what else) off your wellies from Glastonbury which kicked off the season a couple of weeks ago. Well scrape no more, as this festival is just around the corner.

This much loved event is returning for another year after great success in 2015. A mixture of bands will be back with a real emphasis on local music, with the likes of The Invaders, Matt Humphries and phenomenal headline act, Ben Michael Jackson. If you didn’t get a chance to see the real Michael Jackson in concert, this is the next best thing! He's been described as breathtaking, mesmerising and incredible - sounds pretty good to us!

“We need to raise significant funds to maintain and develop our sports facilities,” Chris Branson commented when asked about how the festival came about.

We’d like to have 3G pitches for example and therefore we needed a grand event that engages with the community, makes them aware of what we do and raise funds for a great cause in the community.

There will be activities for all the family on the day including two stages - the main stage and the acoustic stage, found in the Butt Field Sports Club, featuring local artists and upcoming acts. There will also be children’s activities, food stalls, outside and inside bars, face painting and much more.

“The community spirit at B-Festival last year was phenomenal.” added Chris.

“Working on a fun project with great friends within the club, combined with the buzz of putting on such a large show are the main reasons myself and the other organisers love putting the event together.”

Rex Gooding Estate Agents are the headline sponsors for the festival and with their solid foundations and continuous commitment to the local community, B-Festival is sure to be a success. Supplying the festival is rental staging company, Daytona Stage Hire, based in Huddersfield. The stages and fields will be lit up by EES Show Hire, with Event Sound & Light providing the pit barrier and Elliots will be providing the portable toilets - always a necessity.

If you are supplying or attending any festivals this year, join us in sharing your festival highlights throughout the summer, no matter where in the world you are, by mentioning @currentrms on Twitter and Facebook.
