InfoComm 2016
You were awesome

InfoComm 2016 certainly didn't disappoint, being a first time exhibitor is always a little nerve-racking but within 5 minutes on Day 1 we knew we made the right decision. Here's what we got up to...

Back to the blog

W e did our research, we went out and asked our customers what trade shows they wouldn't miss, we looked at the visitor stats from previous years, as well as the 2016 exhibitors and innovations set to be on display, and then signed the dotted line to exhibit at InfoComm 2016 and boy did we have a blast! With just shy of 40,000 visitors to the show this year, it's safe to say we were flat out providing demonstrations on our fantastic looking island (thank you EDG) to PRO-AV, Lighting, Staging and Production rental businesses, suppliers and experts looking to find out more.

We love going to trade shows, it’s the quickest, most informative way to get feedback from you all. Relevant, industry driven feedback, which we pay very close attention to, and get together post show to discuss. As you may already be aware, our feedback is driven from our open Customer Wishlist (it’s in the footer) and we are very proud of how transparent our development roadmap is. We want you to feel secure knowing that we are working hard on delivering features for your industry, taking on-board your feedback to feed into all of the new features.

From InfoComm 2016 we received a LOT of positive feedback on the User Interface, and how mobile friendly it is. Current has been built with full responsive design so it looks great on any device, across any platform - essential for an industry always on the move. Feature wise, visitors loved how easy the Product Availability screen is to understand and how quick you can put an order/quote together using drag and drop functionality. The Resource Planner, managing your freelancers, labor and transport, was also hot on the list, as was the range of document layouts we provide and how all of these can be customized to your liking.

Current RMS was at infoComm 2016 in Las Vegas.

It was also great to hear that the features you’d like to see introduced, such as Choosing Accessories and Creating Kits are high up on the Wishlist (Kits has already been started) and the Current RMS API, released just last week, was another question frequently raised on Booth C11710.

If you’ve yet to attend an InfoComm, be sure to signup for next years show, there were some seriously impressive products on display from; AIR Wireless Companion Speakers, high resolution projectors from the likes of Canon, Crystal Projection Screen debuted on the Luminit LLC Booth, LED lighting fixtures and just generally impressive AV gear.

As we were in Vegas, it would have been rude not to maximise our free time after the show, which for us, meant a trip to the breathtaking Grand Canyon, a show in the MGM Grand, as well as a visit to Fremont Street to watch the Viva Vision Light Show (largest screen in the world, spanning 1,500 feet in length)!

Thank you to all visitors and exhibitors that stepped onto the Current RMS booth for a chat and an overview, it was so great to meet you all, hear what you are up to, how your processes work and what you are looking for in a rental solution. We hope we were able to answer all of your questions but please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’ve got anymore or would like another overview of the system.
